Broad Mtn Enduro

Post by biffer99 »

Ok, it's official...I've signed up for my first enduro. I'll be trying my luck at the Broad Mountain Enduro on May 30th. We'll see how it goes...

Anyone else plan on going?

Are there gonna be a bunch of broads there? So where is this, any main website for more info? I found a video and looks like its some really tight tree passes. Wondering if this is big bike friendly....

Big bike? I'm thinking not but I guess if you have the skills to do it, anything is possible. :pimp:

and compared to the rest of the mountains it is a very Broad mountain, hence the namesake.

Congrats!! This is a killer run, you pick a heck of an enduro to do as your first, they can realy put it to you, on the good side theres lots of easy bail out spots if needed

No it is not big bike friendly, ever and forever I can promise you that. eat your wheaties and bring lots of water

That's not very reassuring Hare...I remember last time you said "nice, relaxing Sunday ride..." I know two of us that didn't make it to the start! I guess I've ridden a good bit since then but still.

Yeah, holy crap these guys don't seem to be messing around. I'm not sure I'm reading this right but got some info in the mail today and it looks like a good solid 6 hours of riding. Oh my goodness what have I gotten myself into?! Well, I better go grab another gas can and start resting up...gonna be a long weekend! No gas truck so I gotta make a friend when I get there...don't think I can get a whole lap on one tank. :nervous:

rest up, carb up, hydrate up, any ups you got. its not that bad but it is a long day of riding rocks, and they usually put it too ya on time, there will be a few breaks. Me, I actually I love it, it is hands down my favorite enduro for all time especially the old ones in the ball field but it aint no sunday drive.

They bring you back to the pits for gas, some times they take you back twice, and up there, your never too far away from the truck, it just feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.

I really want to try out an enduro race. Hopefully sometime this summer. I have a pretty competitive side to me from racing BMX and mountain bikes. They look like a lot of fun. Good luck!
