525 Master link tools

Help- anyone have a 525 master link set tool!!!!!!! I am F-d up without it.

I use my chain breaker to set the face plate of the master link, works fine.
A set of vice grips can also get the job done.

I dont have a chain brek tool. I bought a new 525 chain that came with a rivet type master. I am used to fighting a little with the clip style and usually get it going fine. Have you set a rivt style link using vise grips?

I have the tool kit for the rivet type. I got one from Pete's Cycle when I had to replace the chain on the DRZ. You are welcome to use it but I won't be home until Monday night.

I believe I will have one in the mailbox by then. If not, then I will take you up on it.

Is there any advantage to using the crimp style link vs the clip?
Seem like a PIA to me, no way to pull the chain to soak for a good cleaning with the crimp links.
