Is this being run like a national where you have timed sections and the fastest guy wins?
What class would a beginner run? I see many "C" classes. Would I be grouped by age or engine size? Out of shape fat 48 year old on a 300 Gas Gas.

You could run the 251-up C class, but your better bet may be the senior C class. With an all start control format, you will not need timekeeping equipment. However, a odo, watch, and roll chart is still helpful.

Other thing with a National, it is all on closed course, no tags needed.

Senior C, 251 Up C or 4stroke C......any of those would work.

Just ride like hell, no time keeping. Remember, if you come in late to a start control, you keep going, don't goof off and wait, you're dropping points. You cannot get points for being early, only late.

I ride B SS and it is a very competitive class. These old farts can still haul a$$!

I think I have a couple enduro virgins willing to sign up with me.
Just spoke with one of the SPER guys and the format sounds like a blast.
2 different loops so gas can be at your vehicle.
Plenty of special test sections.

Two 35 mile loops with a 30 minute break for lunch, very little road riding and all on Michaux State Forest. You only have 2 days a year to ride a dirt bike in Michaux so don't miss it.

Do you know if they have a rider limit number like with the dual sport?

You can sign up the day of the ride and you can bring your Hare Scrambles buddies.

Turn out had been low this year only nationals are selling out. If you want to place I would suggest not riding 4stk c fastest C class (two sand baggers yes I am one of them) one now cuz I'm hurt :boohoo:
