Another question- and thanks for answering- can a 17 yo run this? I may get Jr to do this as his first event.

And if he is a complete novice (but he's been riding for a long time) and on a 400- what class?

This is close and I"ll put it on the calender. Any memberships required? Not much info on the flyer.

no memberships req.
Not even AMA? The flyer states AMA sanctioned...

Thanks!

it is a well disguised fact that AMA does NOT require AMA membership to participate in an AMA sanctioned non-competitive activity. It is at the discretion of the hosting AMA club.

Hm. An hour and a half drive to get to 5-7 miles of trails to do twice? Sure, why not. If I'm available, I'll be there. :)

Are we limited to 2 laps? When I did this event in the past (same club, different location and name) you could do as many laps as you wanted... No way is it worth the drive for me for 2 laps.

Hey dirtygrunt, I think (TJ)? would have a blast. I found the event very novice friendly, and pretty much ended up making a fun trailride out of the day. Not sure about what class to enter.

no no no no you get two motos do as many laps you can in the motos the two closest lap times between motos will be your score.
FOR EXAPLE so say you get 8 laps in moto 1 ranging in time then in moto 2 you get in 9 laps

obviously these numbers are fake because you get two, 45 min motos

Moto 1 times ......................................Moto 2 times
3.30.......................................................3.58
3.00.......................................................4.02
3.42.......................................................2.12
3.50......................................................3.39
4.25......................................................3.22
2.49......................................................3.12
2.87.......................................................3.43
2.80......................................................2.46
No Time..................................................2.55

The scores in RED would be your score of .01 seconds so the only person that could beet you was as if they got the exact same time

Thanks for clarifying! I did it at The Cove several years ago and had two laps 10 seconds apart. That was good enough for third place.
