DAMN reunion thread

I contacted MtnRidge, and am waiting to hear back. Should have something set in stone by the end of the week. Don't have the date yet, but likely the last weekend of april or one of the first 2 weekends of may. Can't please everyone, so just going to see what MtnRidge will offer up for us.

If you have a choice, please try to choose a weekend other than May 6th (though a ride on May 5th would probably work just fine) to leave the GreenRidge date open if possible.

But I completely understand you get what you get. :)

It will all depend on what they offer. In the past, the reunion has always been the last weekend in April. This year, some of those going to HM are unsure if they can get their permission slips signed for two weekends away in a row. If a week is skipped between the HM trip and the reunion, then that's the same weekend as the Greenridge ride. So, I'm just waiting to hear back from MtnRidge on what weekend they can offer us. If they can offer both weekends, then it will come down to a coin toss. As of now, MtnRidge hasn't anounced on when they are opening to the public for the season.

I think they usually open Memorial Day Weekend? Is Kevin still around? It may be the first weekend in May. Even if we don't have the place to ourselves, I've never seen it busy.

I agree a weekend in between HM is prudent...as for the GR ride It's all been said.
Mom's day weekend works best for me (semester ends 11 May).

Throw a day out and see who makes it.

Is it good or bad that we have trouble scheduling a "big" ride event?

If the G/R ride is may 6 that is a sunday. If M/R is only a hour away. Than we should be able to do both in the same weekend. Use G/R as a base and, we could car pool up to M/R for some off rode stuff and be able to do the G/R ride on sunday? Or not ? Just my .02!

I'll be staying @ MtnRidge no matter what dates the reunion winds up being. I'd like to support the GR Ds ride, but if the reunion is the same weekend, It'll be hard to pull me away from riding MtnRidge trails to go pay elsewhere for dirt roads.
