GreenRidge Dual Sport/Adventure Ride May 6th

Post by RadioRyder » Mon Feb 13, 2012 6:54 pm

You heard it right! AMA sanctioned District 7 ride through GreenRidge for tagged bikes on May 6th, 2012 with over 100 miles of riding. Starts and ends at Little Orleans Campground. From what I'm told both park rangers and the campground are really excited to have actual PEOPLE at GreenRidge again!!

Get ready for a huge influx of new members. There's a big link to DAMN right at the top of that page.

I plan on being there for this. I need to check my calendar. Any idea what the route is flung to be like?

I don't have a roll chart, but there is a link to Bill Menges' e-mail to the right on the link. I will e-mail and ask. I would expect there to be a lot of people there once the word is out. This announcement just came out today.

That link has been there for a while. :loveit: I sent an e-mail to Bill, if he has a roll chart finished I will post it.

Nice. Great pace for a DS event.

And here we go.... :boohoo:
Too bad about the AMA thing. Say what you will but I refuse to join an organization I don't support. I'd rather pay the "membership" fee and not be a member. Yeah, I know it's about the insurance, etc. Would you join NAMBLA to ride an event?
Just saying... :whoop:

Hmmm. Now what do we do for the reunion. It's usually the last weekend in April, but we were thinking of moving it to the first weekend in May, which would be the same weekend as this event. Do we hold it @ MtnRidge still, on the same weekend or previous, or move back to GR and share the reunion with this event?

The AMA does not require AMA membership to get DS event insurance -- they only require it for races. I took the AMA risk classes when we were debating a DAMN AMA chapter.

This is strictly up to each club as to whether or not they require it.
