I'm going up this Friday, weather permitting..never been. Are the trails marked or is it just open woods?

I would not ride at Shade alone, not a fun place to get hurt and not have a buddy to help you out. Just my $.02
The trails have some markers but the DAMN hunters keep tearing them down.
The trees are marked with purple paint (state picked color).

It looks to be about 30-45 mins out of Harrisburg...? So about 1.5-2 hours?

I'd go with you all on the 31st but I'll be getting on an airplane @0600 headed for Honolulu on the 1st.

It would be about 2 hrs from Towson. If you can make it the 30 minutes up to Hereford, we could truck-pool if you wanted.....
