R1100RT

Post by Laoch »

Here we go..... :boohoo:

Recent doctors visits coupled with missing left knee cartilage (ouch) and a nagging rotator cuff injury have made riding this beast difficult. The weight -bike, not me- can be too much for my knee. And although there are actions to mitigate the issue, I feel it makes more sense to let the bike go.
This same issue was a factor in getting rid of the KLR.

With my new job I can't really ride to work (it's only 5 miles anyway).
I feel like the thing will just sit and sit....

TJ and I talked about maybe going to the dark side (ATVs) to spend time together. In addition to DS riding. So a change of vehicles may be in order.

If interested drop a PM. And I'll send particulars.

2000 BMW R1100RT 34k on clock.
Got it from Mike a couple of years ago.

Every day spent on the road is one I could have spent riding dirt.
I like my odds taking on the rocks and logs much better than some teenbopper texting while driving a cage. My last close call I went home and started selling off every street bike I owned. That said I do miss the BMW.
Thinking a Ural 2wd rig in army green would make a good ice cream getter...
