If its in mechanically good shape, it's a good deal. However, anyone who gets it should check the main shaft bearing (many upgrade from a 2003 or later lc4), some last forever, others not so much. Plus, I would check the oil drain plug after an oil change for any metal bits..
KTM lc4s before the 690s are a bit of an odd duck or acquired taste. Parts aren't the same from year to year, lots of changes per year. If they were well maintained ( frequent oil changes) and you kept em in tune, they could run forever...
