Dual sport ride 8-24 and 8-25

Leaving the BP station off the taskers gap exit on 81 Saturday morning @9:30 and riding the blue ridge trail system down to route 33 in Harrisonburg where we will be camping and then riding back Sunday morning.

The pace will be moderate and not noob or big bike friendly. Anyone want to join in?

I sent him a PM that I planned to attend providing I can solve the electrical problem I'm chasing with my 525 (new stator/regulator being overnighted from TrailTech).

I'm hoping there is also a motel option but can do camping if not.

The 525 is WELL The new Trail Tech Rectifier/Regulator was bad and blowing fuses when warm but I've now replaced it and it made a test run with no problems.

SO I'm heading down Sat AM. IF anyone wants to come along I've got trailer space available and the weather looks good.

PS: The 525 motor is REDICULOUSLY strong!

Had a great time on the ride and enjoyed getting to know REDLEVEL and his friends at the campsite Sat PM.

REDLEVEL is definitely a class act AND one of the few REALLY expert motorcycle techs I'm met over my many years!

Bigbird, Nice meeting you briefly. I was the fellow on the SMT. Wish I had been able to skip out of work and attend the whole ride. I need to retire! :)

Always nice to see plated 525's. If I had mine ready we would have had three of them on this ride! I'll hopefully have it ready to go for the next D/S ride.

RETIREMENT is WONDERFUL except I can never seem to find time to keep my toys working and still get all the playing I want to do in - LOL!
