I rode Taskers Gap a few years ago and swore I would never go back. I have ridden some rocky trails but that place is crazy.

How does it compare to that one rocky trail at Mountian Ridge?Bucho wrote:Skinny-J wrote:Bucho wrote:
Rockier than the bottom of the blue trail at the Cove? Holy hell batman....
Well, with a little bit of luck I can ride that blue section at the Cove clean and not put a foot down.
That section on 495, the rocks brought me to a complete stop several times. Twice I had to get off my bike and muscle it into a different line bc the crappy line I picked was unridable (by me at least..). Though like most things, I think I could do better with practice.
I promise to take a few pictures next time.
This was from a few years ago.Skinny-J wrote:Rockier than the bottom of the blue trail at the Cove? Holy hell batman....Bucho wrote:I went riding at Tasker's Gap this past weekend. ...I did trail 495 which turned out to be one of the rockier trails I've ever ridden.
Oh come one! Never say never. There was still plenty of stuff that wasnt crazy rocky.vetteguy wrote:I rode Taskers Gap a few years ago and swore I would never go back. I have ridden some rocky trails but that place is crazy.
it takes me about 5-years for the memory to soften and my impression of my skills to inflate unrealistically.vetteguy wrote:I rode Taskers Gap a few years ago and swore I would never go back. I have ridden some rocky trails but that place is crazy.
If there was , I never found it.Bucho wrote:Oh come one! Never say never. There was still plenty of stuff that wasnt crazy rocky.vetteguy wrote:I rode Taskers Gap a few years ago and swore I would never go back. I have ridden some rocky trails but that place is crazy.

Then I go back and realize that indeed, rocks suck and so does my riding.
Id like to get a "warm up" for the Michaux enduro, but its not going to happen for me. I guess the first section will have to be my warm up.Marylander wrote:Anyone interested in hitting taskers saturday 8/30 or sunday 8/31? I need to get out and ride before the michaux enduro...
