Planning to ride Brushy Mountain and Brown Mountain over the weekend of May 22; and you should too.
The weather might dictate which place we ride on Friday vs. Saturday as Brushy may not be open if hard rains have been in the area. However, from my reading, Brown Mountain is no problem to ride when wet so we WILL ride either way!
These 2 places are within 35 miles of each other so it’s easy to grab a hotel in Lenoir, NC central to both. It’s about a 6 hr drive from Frederick so it’s actually faster than going to HM as its more highways all the way.
More details to come as they develop but get the dates on your calendar and stop JUST wanting to ride awesome places like this and come DO IT!

Yup and Yup. We will be coming up from the South on Thursday night and if weather is not a factor, will ride Brown on Friday and Brushy on Saturday then drive home on Sunday.Junior wrote: are you riding both days? coming home Sunday?

It was simply awesome! Brown Mountain has taken first place in my favorite trails list! Brushy is a VERY close second and would have been a ton more fun if I hadn't been completely wasted after 6 days of hard core riding! You guys missed a GREAT ride!!J&J wrote:
