I'll sign up. I was hoping to go to Canada for a race that weekend but the CFO is reviewing my race budget and it isn't looking promising.dirtygrunt wrote:Bringing your Adventure FZ9? I'll run the gravel with ya.

I know of an 05 950 you can use, if you want.

Re: 27th Annual Michaux DS Aug 23d
This DS is pretty tough as a DS as I remember, right? After all, I'm still carrying around an injury from it from three years ago. Basically, I'm thinking this is for the KTM more than the pretty DRZ-SM, though a DRZ-S / WR would probably be perfect?

IDk, it has sections that can be tough
I'd say it's 400cc and under DS, but I have seen many folks run DR 650s, KLRs, GS's Tigers, etc. You can also just run the gravel roads at will, all the gravel roads are open.

if you do the options, get can get tough. I was challenged at times on my KTM 450.

I remember a couple of years there were sections of the main route that were friggin goat paths. I think now they have bike bike routes?

Mark Williams wanted to call it quits after 25 years but Scott Stewart picked up the ball and ran with the Michaux Dual Sport.

I survived it last year on a KLR250. Gene did it on his DR650. My buddy's first off-road ever was on Gene's TW200 and he survived.phoo wrote:This DS is pretty tough as a DS as I remember, right? As long as you don't do the options, it's an easy DS ride. Even the C options aren't that hard.
