10am on the 23rd is on my calendar. It's a bit more of a trek than usual so I can drive if anyone wants to carpool...

Do we have anybody going with a good idea of the trails? I've only been once so haven't learned them yet.

I found this map online and it is pretty old, are there any newer trails that aren't on here?

Heh, I was thinking I wouldn't mind being in front since I don't believe any of us are too familiar with the trails.

I'm not all that familiar with the trails, but I can probably get around OK. I did print off that map, as well as a color enhanced and zoomed in portion of just the dirt bike trails to make it easier to read.

The map is good.
Got a report back that a few trees fell during hunting season that need removed so expect a little tree crossing activity in your ride.
Weather pending I plan to go on the 27th to ride the loop with my chain saw and open things up.
I would suggest riding the outer loop clockwise leaving the parking area to the left on the easy green trail and returning via the harder trails so you are rolling downhill thru the harder sections. Also riding clockwise sets you up to ride the Mitchel (the little loop on the north side) going down the log slide climb and return to the main loop. Many can not climb the log slide and just chew it up and make a mess of things. Trails that get chewed up and can not be maintained get closed by the rangers. If you have any questions about Shade send me a PM and I will do my best to answer.

Hmm, I hadn't looked at the weather. I won't leave anyone hanging or 'forced' to ride alone but I do hope it's not raining...

11 am thru 3 pm showing 100% rain....about a half inch.
Top of the mountain I would expect more.
Best pack good rain gear.
