The supermoto junkie post talks about apx 30 day turn around. I am a little tighter than that for time. A buddy tells me VT is the way to go for same as SD, but 10 days? Gonna call them today. Will let you guys know if that is viable legit option.

Just ride the CC events and forget about needing a plate, if you get hooked and want to do all the events and some DS events then go for a bike that has MC listed paperwork so you can plate legal in MD. Odds are you will need to adapt a taste for euro bikes as it is rare to find a plated jap bike. I would suggest you go do a couple trail rides like the DAMN reunion to see how your skills are before signing on for a 60 mile race. Just my $.02

Good advice Boom Boom. I plan to do some trail riding at the reunion this weekend. And I have no expectations of winning or even doing well at an enduro. It's just been a 35 year dream to give it a try and hopefully finish.

If not, look for buzzards after the race.

I saw some folks were seeing under 2 week turn around time on the SD plates. The title itself takes a little more time to come in.

Another route if you can find one is buy a titled frame and swap everything over to it. I have one for my KX125 as it was really cheap and a lot less headache than dealing with the dmv. One of these days I need to take the time to move everything over and may as well drop a kdx 200 engine in there while I'm at it :D

Looks like you can get a plate from Vermont in 10 days. Lady was very nice on the phone. Just $48 plus 6% tax on sale price. Not sure if that turns a bill of sale it a title, or not.

I believe you get a transferable registration, which is used in lieu of a title. You would use that to transfer it to your name and get a title from your DMV.

Nice!

One of these days I need to put some work on my KX125/KDX hybrid. Hard to justify yanking the 125 mill though because it runs so well

A tip for the well being of your license plate on an off road bike: either put a plastic backing plate behind the plate or what I do, photocopy and laminate a paper version, then just keep the real plate in your hydration pack or something. Plates die quick deaths on a dirt bike if you don't.

I lost my last one within 20 miles of the start at the Delaware enduro.
