Can't make Curly Fern as I'm doing the National Enduro that weekend. Anybody wanting to hit the Sandy Lane? Pre entry is open for it now.

Are you still considering doing this, in light of yesterday's events?

Most likely. Need to call around and get some parts ordered asap for the beta for the national enduro this weekend.

Well, I finally got a chance to clean the THICK layer of mud from the hangover hare scramble so I can get the new fender and number plate on. Still waiting for my new coolant lines and fan kit to arrive.
Thanks,
Patrick

How tough is this Sandy lane compared to something like Greenbrier or Curly Fern? What kind of track conditions to face?

I have never done the Curly Fern (I heard it had lots of fire cuts which I am not a huge fan of) but have done both the Sandy Lane and Greenbrier. I would not say one is harder than the other. Its southern NJ, its pretty much all the same terrain. Greenbrier is closed course so it brings out 5 times the amount of riders where Sandy Lane you need to be tagged for so that makes Sandy Lane feel a little more "low-key" with a smaller crowd IMHO. I would definetly recommend the Sandy Lane, its a good ride,

OK. I will have to sign up for Sandy Lane and give it a go. What's the worst that can happen?

I do very few enduro events but must agree with S-Jay comment about riding a plate required event will have less riders and a bit more laid back vibe.
