yea, that was the same for me. This will force me to stop riding since I am not a big line waiting guy.

Maybe I will just have to ride trials again :killingme:
Just so happens that one of the most fun events is located on DuPont Estate land that same weekend. We do not judge, you will be welcomed back

That's because there aren't many options. If they priced these events high enough that events didn't sell out, that would actually signal the beginning of the end of the sport.

You are correct in your assertion, but I didn't say price high enough that it doesn't sell out.

You can't get a ticket and even considered slumming with the trials guys....now you score a 2 day pass and can't go. Oh I assume you have a good story for this. Wine tasting with Biff?

Received this from the organizers. The part about the reasoning was interesting.

Thanks for your entry in the Hammer Run. We hope you enjoyed the event.

Recently, we have found several videos shared on social media and YouTube, despite helmet cams being specifically prohibited from the event. Anyone who has posted videos must immediately remove them. Any videos that remain, will result in the poster, and anyone who can be identified in the video to be permanently banned from any future events.

Why is this such a big deal to our club?

I was personally in a meeting with officials where the next years events were being discussed and where permission would be either granted or declined. When one particular event was being discussed, the anti-motorcycle folks presented a slide show of the previous years event. They showed where there was a mud hole, and bikes were going around it. That's called trail braiding, and is illegal. They showed the roost being thrown "destroying habitat" of some spotted crickets or something. They showed videos of bikes going over a hill, and the roost at the top, and the rut that was left. They went on for what seemed like hours using our own pictures and videos against us. The pencil pushers were amazed at the "devastation" motorcycle events cause. Now here we are today, relegated to whooped out fire cuts while the 631 miles of previously approved single track trails in the state forests are off limits to us (but the mountain bikers love it). The only thing we can do now is not to give them any ammo. If you have ridden our events in the previous years, you may have noticed the large portion of land that we did not ride this year. We have to vigorously fight for every inch of trail that we use.

So, the bottom line is this.....If you took helmet cam video and posted it, REMOVE IT. Feel free to use it for your personal enjoyment, but it must not be made public, with any references to the event.

We appreciate your cooperation with this very sensitive issue, and hope that in 2020 we still have the land available.
