Even if its a busy weekend, the single track trails are usually pretty empty. Shouldn't be too bad
I've never been so trying to plan for the family. Looking at this map:
https://www.mountainridgeatvtrails.com/ ... il-map.pdf
and using the google map satellite view for size:

There are only 3 tracks marked "bike only". I'm not so much worried about me but more for the wife & little kid. I suspect I'll have to spend much of the day riding w/ them (mostly the kid.) I suspect we'll be on all the easy trails.

This is actually a really good point. If it's going to be super crowded, I might make it a solo trip and hide on the single track. I saw the horrifying pictures of the parking lots at RAC recently.

Anyone have any intel on how busy Mountain Ridge is right now?

What horror in the parking lot are you referring to? Curious.

Lots of open space and trails are wide. Even when busy I've never seen it crowded. They open early May every year Fri-Sun. They only missed one or two weekends.

I`ll be headed up on Friday morning. I`m bringing both bikes. Bruce, I`m in for the dual sport ride on Saturday.

I never got around to working on that. I was focused on the week after at Bald Eagle SF. Maybe one one bike will work.

I'm sure someone will have a track that I can use! I don't mind riding by myself if no one else wants to. It doesn't cost anymore to bring 2 bikes!

Ahh, don't take your family on any single track there. It is probable they wouldn't have a good time.
There are some easy quad trails beginners could ride.

There is also more single track than is shown on the map.

I kinda wanted to bring my kid and our little buggy to play around in. Not sure if that will happen. My wife doesn't want me to bring him around people w/ covid still going on.

I mentioned this to Jay Saturday. I believe he said he still has the track from the one we did a few years ago. If he doesn't pipe up on here I'll ask him.
