Very cool Wes, glad to see your kiddo riding.

Boomboom was nice enough to let me take over his garage for the day. Found more broken/neglected things on my trials bike. Still not running...

things must be serious then if the atmosphere in that shop had no influence on running status :lurker:

My old 2 stroke needs some work too. Where is the best place to buy a lectron these days? Firebolters bike has me sold on the idea

Dave, buy it direct from Lectron. https://www.lectronfuelsystems.com/

Call Kevin and talk to him about your application. While some (WF) don't care for them, I have had them on 3 300 2smokes todate and they have worked great-You have ridden mine Dave, so you know how it fuels. The other thing I did was add the SX ignition module and a hi-comp head, wakes up the powerband some and allows it to pull really nicely, again as you have checked out! You can send your stock head out and have it shaved some-

Think the most positive part of the day involved establishing what was working

Phil can offer more detail on why turning off gas flow is so important (for 2010 and 11 Sherco did not have a fuel shut off). All that was needed was one sunken float and the gas flowed from tank...thru carb...loaded the reed assembly and even had the exhaust loaded with gas. Gas was even pushed up thru the mid pipe silencer. Never in my years of knuckle busting have I come across any bike in that condition....was an adventure for sure.
Was good the bike did not start or it would have been "on fire".

Other than obviously fixing the floats, can you add an inline fuel petcock?

I've only done the fronts so far, the rears are back ordered until mid-August. But what a difference the fronts have made!
