Used bike prices

Not the time to buy a bike. Good time to sell. Used prices are crazy. I see used bikes listed for more than the new price. :screwy:

Sure there are deals to be had, but few and far between.
Saw a T7 for 12k. They were 10k new. 2019 Husky whatever for 10k and it was 9500 new.
Crazy stuff.

Who wants a used bike for more than retail? I got a few I might let go :deal:

Think you are seeing the tail of the surge. As more euro bikes make it to the states the less demand on the upper end used. Sure plenty asking but then just watch as the asking number keeps dropping. Lots of dreamers asking but not being snapped up like a few months ago. Trials world is smaller so a modest shipment of new bikes takes the edge off.

Agreed crazy, but supply and demand. You simply couldn't find a 202x KTM 300XCW or EXC- they were all gone. Even w/ a deposit down on a 2022 I'm told they are being snapped up well before they are delivered.

I put a deposit down on a bike after calling around and finding dealers as far away as FL already sold their allotment. Agree w/ Boom Boom, we are seeing the tail end but the rush isn't over yet. If you want a bike to ride *this year* you are still going to pay out the rear for it.

The good prices on bikes are sellers that are realistic and not trying to take advantage of the current situation. Not saying the demand is not more than normal but I am a believer if I got a decent deal I will pass that along. Posted my 300rr Montesa and 4 hours later it was sold. No dicker, just a firm and fair price....life is to short to deal with stupid offer tire kickers....price is firm...you want it bring cash and come get it.
When looking for a newer dirt bike I was just tired of sending messages asking things that should be in the add. Does it have a lien? Does it have a MC title. Had guys priced at over what the bike sold new for, they needed that amount as that is what they owe the bank....seriously you have a 3 year old bike and just paid down to what it stickered for new? Oh and a MCO is not a title. So happy to find a local bike that I knew the seller and history. If you want a good laugh go on FB marketplace and pick a bike and do a search then get a cold beer and start reading....good for a laugh or two.

Ugh,tell me about it. My Beta said it had a title and I didn't question it further. Was great to drive 14 hours to find out it was an MCO. WV dmv said they wouldn't touch it and that guy would have to have it titled first then transfer it. So yea, it may or may not being wearing my Husky's tag these days.
