Sorry to miss this. We were on our way home today from PA after a pedal/paddle trip on the Susquehanna River. It was a pretty fun day kayaking from north of Marietta back down to Columbia.

Gracie and I are currently planning to be up at Mountain Ridge tomorrow afternoon and Friday morning. This will be her first time out on the KLX so we may stay around on the easy trails for while. If you're there, look for my blue F-150 with ramps hanging off the tailgate.

Was definitely HOT, but we still had a good short day of riding.

Found more trees/large branches down. Will have to do some clean up next time Im there.



The creek is very low

We had some good challenges in the heat. This finally did Sam in.

I stayed another hour and rode a bit more. I finally attempted my Creek/Hard Enduro section. It was hard enough, thats for sure. Being by myself, I didnt want to take any big risks.

This spot defeated me. I tried to ride up the right side of the bank. It steepish but relatively smooth. However, it was super slick (leaves/mud/mossy rocks). Ended up having to spin bike 180 and ride back a few bike lengths then ride up the bank to go around.
Whole creek section is pretty short, but its a nice training spot to beat yourself to death a little.

Saw lots of wildlife today. Several turkeys, several turtles, frogs in the creek enduro section…

I guess I need to pay attention. I totally missed this.

Anyway, tomorrow is day 1 of 4 days riding Michaux DS tracks and of course, the options.
