Received an email today that started: "We're very happy to inform you that your VARG will be going into production soon. Therefore, we kindly ask you to answer us on this email to confirm your purchase and order, and by this also confirm your user details that will be needed to start up your VARG."

Website is still showing Aug 31 delivery.
Cool. I'll be excited to see one in person.

Just got a call from Stark (some guy in the NE.) Telling me the delivery will be a little longer than promised date online. There was also a gentle push to upgrade to 80hp. I'm guessing that helps their bottom line a lot.

I thought I ordered mine early, but you have me beat by quite a bit. My estimated delivery date is still 30 Sept and I haven't gotten my email, yet. You'll have to let me know when yours arrives... Hopefully before I need to commit to mine. ;)

No way am I signing up for the 80hp. Simply no reason for me to get it when the hardware is all the same and I'm likely going to not even run the full 60HP of the one I'm getting.

Electric Cycle Rider just got his and posted his first ride video (He did ride prototype out in Spain before.) Says the power and handling is nuts. Was using 40hp in the woods and said was all he could use. No comment on range yet.

Ok, that video just about sold me on this thing. Very cool. It'll be interesting to see what you guys get for range.

What's neat about it is you can switch on the fly between five maps using a control on the bars, so you could have normal, tight single track, hill climb, rocks, and hang on for dear life all ready to go and select as needs arise.

I can't wait to bring it to some Mountain Ridge singletrack to see how it does and what kind of range I can get (because a place like FRO it's easy to end up very far from the trucks when you suddenly realize you need to hurry and get back before you're dead out in the middle of nowhere, but hopefully it has enough range for something like there, too).

@Phoo, @Firebolter, and anyone else that pre-ordered give me a shout. I left a msg on your phones. I got to see one today and ride it just a tiny bit.

Oh, were you the 301 area code that called an hour ago? How was it? How was it compared to the one you have now, that you let me ride briefly at Mtn Ridge last year? Did you get an update to your delivery date, yet? My delivery date still says Sept 30, but they have never contacted me about full payment.

Thanks,

~Patrick

To those with a down payment sent, check your account. My 30 September date just got bumped to 15 December. Hopefully I'll get it in time to ride the hangover hare scramble, though it'd be weird to have my very first ride on it be a race instead of a trail ride.
