after MUCH research and digging through the database structure, I think I have figured out the errors of my reinstallation.

looks like the user avatar bug found its way back. Tested with iPhone safari, chrome, and FF

I uploaded the three directories that contain the image files with no luck. This may be the one case where each user will have to reupload their avatar.
