after MUCH research and digging through the database structure, I think I have figured out the errors of my reinstallation.

Even though there's documentation on how to migrate the board, it is lacking some critical steps.

missing documentation sounds like someone at goDaddy was building in a bit of job security... or found a way to sell set-up services

As opposed to the evil empire based out of Redmond Washington :) I've always wondered how they can justify a word processor that is gigabytes large and complex.

PHPBB3 could improve their doc too.

The avatar is a file issue. I will upload those files again. Not a show stopper fortunately.

I uploaded the three directories that contain the image files with no luck. This may be the one case where each user will have to reupload their avatar.

Is TapaTalk working? I don't use it.

I can't get all the old avatars reimported. Regretfully, you will have to upload your avatar again.
