One day at the beach near Manual Antonio I did strike up a conversation w/ a local. Really nice guy, he had been surfing there since the late 80's. He was a surf instructor but didn't have any classes that day.

If I had any interest in surfing I would have gone w/ that guy.

Yes, it was pretty cool. I had some great clutch practice on some of these crazy steep roads.

There are a few companies that offer off road moto tours in Costa Rica. When I lived in Hawaii in the 90's, that was one of the big trips guys used to do. There was a company that rented Husky 2 strokes and did single track rides all over the mountains and jungles of CR. My friends that went said it was some of the hardest/best rides they had ever been on. Mountains and jungles to ride and then down to the beach for the evenings-Cool stuff

Since we didn't go to Romania, maybe a CR trip in a year or so?

Well I "think" I have a few more good years of real offroad "capability", so I would be in for it Phil. I have a really good friend I have known for 30+years and he retired and owns a couple houses in CR. He is originally from there. Maybe do a dirt bike tour and then borrow one of my buddies houses and vacay for a couple of days? I will email him and see what the deal is-
