Renewable Energy (RE) Issues coming

Post by aai »

Let me start by saying that this topic is very interesting, and find the discussion productive and am learning a lot. I just looked up Scandinavian countries Sweden in particular. Just a small dot in this globe but I know they have been pursuing renewable energy for quite a long time.

Then I looked up Sweden’s oil consumption annually. From what I briefly saw they are ranked 40th in the world in oil consumption. I really think we are a long ways away… but carry on by all means…
Just my thoughts

Only wealthier people are buying EVs which I think is the result of the $7500 tax credit. The auto companies are primarily focused on more expensive EVs. It's going to be a very long time before the manager at the grocery store or your cleaning lady are looking at EVs when shopping for transportation unless the government just buys the market on tax subsidies.

Interesting what this article had to say about gas is greener than making batteries.

:lol2:

Sweden population is about the same as NYC. Apples to oranges.
No comparison. Look at industry, infrastructure, land mass. Nothing like this country.

Idk what you're getting at? Sure alt energy is nice, but it's not even close to being feasible on a large scale.

All the greenies should be riding bicycles and and using only solar and wind for electric. Until that happens :yousuck:

Bruce, sorry if you misunderstood. Sweden has been pursuing renewable energy for how many years now, maybe 20? It ranks 90th in world population. Small enough I would've thought they advanced more than they have. The country still uses oil and ranked 43rd. Its all in the writing :deal:

Till aftermarket companies like Carillo, MSD, Edelbrock and Borla and among 100s of other exhaust companies have mod parts for batteries :lol2: Well Im just not that enthusiastic about it and so is the millions of car enthusiasts in this country.
