Hornet Rally Sidecar

Post by Rut Row »

I found a 2003 SV650 that had been totaled :loveit:

Image

I will drop it off at the frame builder's place tomorrow night and leave a deposit for a new racing sidecar frame for it.

The new frame will be similar to the Wasp but will be designed for Dual-Sport and Rally Racing. :rayof:

I'll run 195/65R15 Rally tires front & rear and a 175/65R14 rally tire on the hack (maybe a 13 - depends)

I'll have custom rims made vice using motorcycle rims.

Sooo... stay tuned! It will be this winter sometime before the frame is made and we start moving the SV650 parts into it.

and yes, I am crazy... :smoking:

That is going to be such a cool toy. I'm bummed I'm too far away to offer anything but advice.

Latest update. SV650 out...

this in... TL1000 motor!

I got it from Bill Becker of Becker Moto Works. Bill builds F1 & F2 sidecars so I'm very comfortable that it is a solid motor.
