New Member Intro: RideABike - Curtis

Post by rideabike »

Joe W. pointed this site out to me. We hooked up years ago through the Yahoo groups DCOffroad newsgroup. I'm in the Annapolis, MD area and like to ride trails. I've had a lot of fun on my 1997 XR400 but it's feeling a bit worn out. I bought a new to me '07 YZ450F and parked the old XR4 off in the corner. I think the XR4 got upset because it let out all of its fork oil on the floor. I like to do club trail rides. I do the NVTR Spring trail ride and did the BCTR Fall trail ride last year. I'm a member of Southern MD Dirt Riders but we mostly ride Budds Creek and Jonathan Beasley plowed the trails a couple years ago to get ready for the MXoN.

I've ridden with you 40 year old punks (I'm 43). No respect for authority or for the older generation! :loaded:

I think I'll start the DAMN-ITT subchapter of DAMN. Dual Sporters/Adventurers of Maryland and Nearby, In the Twenties/Thirties.

It can be a mentor-protege program with you old farts!

Cool! Maybe I'll finally learn something.

Can I have a buxom young lass as a mentor? :brows:

This sounds like a need for a whole 'nother thread.

I have a sign in front of my house which reads; "old dirty Mike's home for wayward 20-something girls. Recieve comfort, advice, and guidance from an aging fool." :deal:

That has not been working too well.

I have also tried placing a cosmopolitan on a silver tray under an old refrigerator box propped up on a stick. That hasn't worked either. I am going to try changing the bait to malt liquor and menthol cigarettes and see if that works any better. :deal:
