Never noticed this before

Post by CapoGreg » Mon Dec 21, 2009 3:58 pm

While I was flying last Thursday, I noticed a lot of ATV/dirtbike trails cutting through wooded areas of Harford and Cecil counties. I spotted a couple good ones in some isolated areas as well as some interesting powerline right-of-ways with creek fords and such. I don't have a bike to ride aything like that now and I don't encourage trespassing, but if I can get my hands on a dual sport I might have to go back there and :brows:

Bring those XRs down here and we'll scope it out together. The CB is a work in progress and disassembled right now. Add to that a year and a half living in an apartment, so now it's buried in my parents barn. Once I get the reloading bench built in my shed, I'll probably bring it over here to work on it. I'd like to have it done by September, so I can get some pics of me running the Dragon on it this year.

Here's the only pic I have on the computer, from when my dad rode it across Canada then back across the states the summer after he bought it. It has the lowers off in this pic and how it sports Jardine 2-1 mufflers since the originals rotted out.

That brings back fond memories -- my first street bike was a '73 CB 750 like that. LOVED that bike - I put about 45k miles on it, but it was never really fast enough.

I see a lot of guys turn them into choppers or cafe racers, but I'm going to get mine as close to original as I can afford. I like the way it looks with the sissy bar, Shoei bags, and Windjammer.

I will once I get my license. It's gonna be a little delayed now that I have to pay for a house instead of an apartment.

I had something like that happen to me. Shortly after my SO converted to SWMBO, my flying budget went to zero. I have around 400 hours but haven't been up in nearly 10 years.
