I'm with y'all;Me Code and DCminn rode it Saturday, and hell yeh; LONG rides rule.... We should offer the original longer route. the reason I was looking for a shorter option is the way it has been advertised on ADV: As an easy, bring the SO if they haven't experienced the dirt before and let them experience the fun of riding in the woods, kind of smell the roses affair. Good luck having anything resembling smelling the roses when you have to ride 120/180 miles at a 30 mph average on sometimes loose gravel. Adding lunch makes it worse. my 2c.Bucho wrote:I guess you were one of those I was making the longer route for.badguy wrote:In case you're looking for feedback, I'm definitely down for a longer ride.

I have no problem offering the longer route as an option.
Those riding it have to make their own decisions and possibly risk either (a) a speeding ticket or (b) missing the drawings.

I've got a request off in for the ride, we'll see if I gets it. Also a brandy new fresh off the press IMS 3gal tank should be on its way to me soon so I won't have to worry so bad about gas anymore.
Long route for me pls too probably.

Re: Oct 9th - DS Ride For MS
The wife and I would probably prefer the short ride. I don't have SM wheels yet for the 510, and the seat's not the best for marathon rides. I want to come support the cause, but long rides on just gravel and dirt roads really arn't my thing.
Re: Oct 9th - DS Ride For MS
we have a shorter route - we are extending the spring ride to include the dirt roads south on Middletown and Stigler Creek Ford

Ken has added some mileage to the Spring ride, I am going out, probably tomorrow, to test ride it. I'll put a RR in the MS ride thread.

Will there be a couple places to stop for gas? I'm still sportin' the stock 2.6gal fuel tank on the DR-Z and based on your total mileage I may need to stop twice, maybe thrice, depending on how twisty my right hand feels.Wingfixer wrote:Total miles: 179.6 This included the miles to and from the gas
