I guess I've improved a bit... :gdog:

My problem is Bucho and Wingfixer. :foul:

Whenever I get around them the right wrist does funny things... twitches, rolls back uncontrollably... etc... :knary:

I should have stayed with Kath and Code - woulda been just fine if I had! :screwy:
***making notes****

Wingfixer and Bucho bad influences on right wrist. Kyler easily influenced. :eyes:

(sound like good riding partners)

what's this mean? You callin us slow? :lol2:
I'm content doing whatever, but my mind has to be in it. So I base how I ride everyday off of how I feel. Why push it? It's called self control ken.... I know old people have trouble controlling other things, but this? Lol. The only person I need to prove anything to is myself.....

So is blowin' your load within' the first hour :harhar: Last year a group of friends, and kath and I went on a ride out to Ohio to meet up with a bunch of other friends and I used this same analogy to describe their ride vs. ours. Riding is like sex..you can get their quick or you can enjoy it and make it last longer.
Every now and then, sure, it's fun to do both. On this ride, our friends would hammer it thru the twisties and had to take breaks every 50 miles. Breaks are fine, but I mean breaks... a half hour, possibly even longer. In the meantime, we were still going above the posted speed limit for the most part, maybe only by 10-20, but we were pulling 100miles before stopping, at which time we stopped long enough to fuel, get hydrated, take a leak, etc. and we were immediately back on the road. Which for the most part to no longer then 15mins. For the most part our two versions of riding styles overlapped pretty nicely..they would pass us here and there if they shortened their "breaks", and we would see them sitting at their gas stops every 100 miles where the 50's overlapped. There's no right or wrong way of riding obviously. People choosing to ride with a group, need to know what they're willing to accommodate to, and if they aren't wanting to bend to fit mesh with the group, then maybe others within said group are willing to do so for that person. Otherwise, it's just a free for all.

Mike...I've only been on one ride with you, so I can't really say how your rides are other then based off of that one ride. You stopped at every corner, waited for everyone, then proceeded. You knew what was going on with the group for the most part and if you lost track somewhere, you regained it at said turns. Once I figured that out, I realized that I didn't have to be gunho bout keeping up :knary: , however, that day in particularly, I was wanting to push it a bit more (which is why I pooped out early most likely). I'm not nearly as experienced, nor have I been riding "off-road" as often as the greater majority on that ride. Felt good with what I had done, depressed I cut out and missed the other stuff but you learn and build up stamina to hold out longer. Others might've thought it was a bit more spirited then their liking, which I've heard here and there, but they too agreed..there wasn't at any point they felt if they dropped far behind the group that you guys wouldn't be waiting at the next turn.

And the only reason I'm sayin' anymore in this thread is cause Ken had to go draggin' our names back into it

Why don't we just post this somewhere so people know ......
Phil, Ken, Patrick and Mike all feed off of each other apparently. If you do a group ride and any combination of those 4 names show, separate them if you don't want hooliganism. :harhar: :harhar: :harhar:

This thread took a weird turn. I thought this was accountability for the leader on group rides. Not beat-up a few guys for riding to fast. I`m all for (Your responsible for the guy behind you). Than agin the guy behind should try and keep up or move to a slower group. If there is only one group the slower rider shood set the pace( I think anyway). That also brings up navigation, I`m guilty, On the dabbers ride i was dependant on others, not good. On the 777 ride my roll chart was wrong  :frustrated: and i was really trying to follow it. Anyway I think The more poeple ride together the better it will get. Common courtesy go`s a long way, maybe farther than accountabilit.

No one is busting on anyone for how they ride. I think the point that is being made is this...if you are going to schedule a GROUP ride, then you better have a plan for keeping ALL levels and speeds of riders organized/together and accounted for. Period. You can't expect everyone to have a good time by either a) riding slow to suit the new riders or slower riders or b) riding faster than their skills to keep up with the hooligans. As a group leader/coordinator, you take on the responsibility for the riders that participate in your posted "event."
