Don't download the FB app to your phone! It hooks into everything. Just use your wife's acct though a PC web browser.

That, and install the FB Purity browser extension to get rid of all the crap that FB promotes onto your page, hiding the stuff from your friends and groups that you actually want to see.

I have a FB account which I first opened in '19 to sell my uncle's boat which I co-inherited. It would have been more fun to set it on fire and launch it, in retrospect.
Anyway, at the time, I thought one must use their real name to open such an acct. That isn't true but is what I did. If your wife's acct is under her actual name, make sure there is no location associated with her name/account (i.e. city & state) or thieves will just google her name and city and try their luck at taking what you are listing just by running a basic google search. I no longer want to list anything associated with dirt bikes on my account. Any new account opened and affiliated with the primary acct does not get FB Marketplace access (available only to the primary acct). Also, while trying to open a totally new account under an alias (again, just to sell items without my home getting robbed) FB required I take a full 180 degree live video of my face/head to "verify I am actually human". I'm not a fan of that in the least (though I did try to defeat it by pulling a pair of my wife's pantyhose over my head, adding a wig of long white hair (think Vince Neil, Motley Crue), and a pair of moto goggles. I was "Denied". Not human, I guess). In summary, after extensive research I've determined it best to never sell any motorcycle or motorcycle parts. This has been confirmed to not violate the primary rule of motorcycle ownership being, the needed number of motorcycles for one to possess is still and always will be N+1, where N is the current number of bikes owned. Good luck, don't get robbed. It feels shitty.

More FB marketplace fun. I had my Husky listed and the morons are never ending.
You know- cash only. Guy wants to get a check from a bank cuz he is getting a loan. I said again, cash. He says
I can call the bank to verify, blah, blah- and I blocked his dumb ass.
Listing states it is a "street legal DS from the factory". Pics show turn signals, tag, etc. And everybody wants to know if it is street legal. WTF?
Guy from VA want to know if he can title it in VA.
Another guy offers a HD for a trade
Oh and why isn't it inspected? In the last 20 years I have had two PA inspections done. I don't get my bikes inspected.
Like an inspection is some indicator of a good bike? And it is a secondary offence anyway.
Good times.

Maryland makes you inspect a used bike purchased before they'll issue a registration and tag for it. I've got a guy that I go to for any street legal used bike I've ever bought in Maryland.
FB Marketplace: my standard reply is that the first person that shows up with cash gets the bike and there are multiple people interested. That has motived buyers on past sells I've done there.
