I would love to be there, but I'll be out of town. :dirtdog:

You DAMN guys just put on a great time.
If there is any snow left, we will be sure to find it.

Honestly, it has been summer here since April 1.

TyMarp and I just had a great evening ride tonight, running around Savage River and Westernport and heading west into the farm land north of Deep Creek. We ran a nice powerline run on street tires and the slipperiest thing we could find was moss. Of could the gravel and cinders on the road prove a few "oh boy" moments too.

BTW it was absolutely serene at the lake at sunset. Just a few flat bottom boats fishing in the coves. Perfect weather and the whole lake to themselves. The pain of winter has almost completely faded.

Weather forecast looking less than encouraging. If chance of rain is above 60% both days may have to cancel :wallbash:. I will confirm by Thursday morning.

Well mdub,
I've got good news and bad news.
the bad news:
swmbo has decided to visit family out of state on the weekend of May 1st, which knocks the reunion off my schedule.

BUT, the good news:
I am then free to ride with you on the 15th

IN!

I too can't make the reunion - it's SWMBO's reserve weekend so I have to be Mr Mom.. Plus, I just got some good news that the XR650L errr scratch that my XR685L is ready... So im IN... But will be taking it fairly easy to break in the new motor....

As the motor was just done - I am thinking I will trailer it to be on the safe side.. Is there a place where I can park it ...

Thx

Sorry about the reunion, but glad you can make my ride. Should be a good weekend.

Cool. The XR will be perfect for the ride. Plenty of parking at my house in the driveway or along the street.

You are going to break in your new engine following mdubya?!? :poser: That will be a trial by fire for sure.

:deal: Guarantees the motor will be fast! :rickey:

In Jason's defense, he has ridden similar routes out here and with me before. :roost:

Yeah.. When I did the RRob ride out that way.. I have only been offroad a few time - like less than 5... Things I remember saying from that ride..

Looking down and doing 60 on some of the dirt and wondering if that was normal...Nobody took off like a BOH - I was on a DR350.... Starts were all pretty easy - it was just that the speed gradually got up there... Fast, but not allot of hard starts or braking - it was very easy to get in a rhythm

What the % of mileage difference was from Mduyba's front wheel vs the rear and wondering if it was in double digits..
That I was really glad I wore the bike shorts

and brought a trailer in as we didn't get back to Elkins and get loaded up till 9ish... I was chilly, beat, and couldn't imagine having to slab home another 3 hours on the DR (knobbies not a plus)...

but it was a GREAT time...

I probably will change the oil before and after tho...

HHR,
Why did you do the top end of your XR? Is that extra 35ccs supposda do anything for you? I kinda want to know if my nose was right last summer when I thought you were getting some oil past the rings.

sorry for the hijack..
