Interestingly enough the KAT has it's own website http://annessky.net/kat/
Links to lots of resources. I watched a few YouTube vids, good stuff.

My initial thought is to maybe head down on Monday, skipping the HM stuff. I think that's a good option. It looks like once at Matewan, you're parking there for the duration.

Cool, I will start a list on the first page to try and track who is coming and when so guys can hook up and truck pool.

As we get closer, everyone should keep us posted on their status and if it changes.

This looks like great fun. Though it was just been pointed out to me by a friend that "7" stands for July. Oh crud... That's peak summer heat/humidity. I don't sweat correctly and pretty much know I can't survive this :barf: Unless you guys sleep during the day and ride in the dark :killingme:

So, any chance someone could tag along for just part of this? I've got the wr250x turned into a wr250r for dual sporting so it'd be nice to take it out but I can't do that many days.

You could probably do something like that. Come along the first two days and then ride straight back to your truck at Matewan to go home.

Absolutely. Matewan is about the closest point to home so that is why we start there. From Matewan it's probably 2 days to Jellico where we make the turn north on the western most side of the loop. This is where the harder stuff (relatively) is so I wouldn't want to miss that. :pyndn:

Once you know your days I can tell you where we will be so you can just B-line in or out as you want.
