Titan Bike lift @ Walmart

As Paul Harvey would say - now the rest of the story. Those that ordered this lift a few days after me got a notice from Titan Ramps that their order was being returned by the shipper to the factory because it was sold on incorrect pricing by Walmart. Titan is directing Walmart to refund the purchase to the customers.

One person has complained to Walmart about how they're being treated by Titan; i.e. they didn't buy it from Titan Ramps but rather Walmart. The Walmart customer service person said that Titan had to approve the pricing (whoops!) and that they were going to try to resolve it to get the lifts shipped at the price quoted.

So, as suspected, this was a screw up to offer it at that price but I and few others got ours by jumping on the purchase.

Welp, thanks for the sharp eye and sharing the info. After years of consciously making the decision to not have a lift, having a bike sitting on one when I open the garage makes it so inviting to work on.

I think I figured out what happened. Here's the link to the Titan web site:

They list it for $544.97 for a savings of $305.

Walmart listed it for $305 for a savings of $544.

Whoops. Not sure whose screw up it was but it looks pretty obvious that they just swapped the numbers.

I finally got some time to go wrenching in the garage and got the big bike on the lift for the first time. It was easy to load it with the Condor I installed on it to hold it while I got the tie downs on it. Just what I needed to keep my old knees off the garage floor.



I got my SW-Motech foot pegs and my Touratech Pannier racks installed - getting it sorted for my upcoming long trip.
