Officially out. Scored a Doctor's appointment to get my feet fixed (picked up some exotic foot thing in CR), and wouldn't you know it's for the same time as the only other plans on my calendar.
:foul:

I could really use the ride too.

karma continues to haunt me. I am sitting on the side of I70 awaiting the arrival of my ever patient wife (DirtyGirl) with tools so I can fix my DAMN Flat DAMN tire. Yes, SkinnyJ, it would be the same tube I put in on our ride. I guess I will be getting a few new tubes while I am at JT's. :wallbash: :foul:

Better check the rim for debris or other sharp objects.

or did you just neglect to check tire pressure?

Nah, this was just a patched tube that we put in to keep riding..... 500 miles ago! My guess would be the patch let loose. I guess it is time to patch the patch.....

Sorry for your bad luck pal, enjoy your ride when you get rolling again...

Sorry Patrick, I drove right past you. Wasn't sure if it was you, and I thought you said you were doing the pre-ride on Friday. There was a cop there with you when I went by. I was late for a 9am meeting, or I would have stopped. When I was on my way back a little after 10am, I passed you headed west, so you were apparently ok.
bunch of bike I don't ride...

You would be correct, and pretty spot on guessing the mileage. I guess I shoulda changed that tube after all.

The tube that let me down on the side of I-70 was indeed a patched tube, the good news is I had a spare. The bad news is it was the other tube that went flat on the ride I did with Skinny-J, and was patched. The good news is JT's had 2 tubes they where happy to sell me. The bad news:

It didn't make it all the way home. I guess when you patch twice as big a hole you get half the milage.
