New Park, PA

Blind Enduro/Trail Ride $20 10am-2pm

I just called the guy "Doc Burton", his number is on the flier, he owns the land and organizes the ride. This is the third year for it.

Here is the deal:
Blind Enduro: Complete three laps. Start when you want, go as fast or as slow as you like. The people who have the most constancy in their lap times get trophies. Speed is not a factor just consistency. He said that it is a challenge because as the course is ridden it becomes rutted and etc. which changes your lap time.

Rocks, stream crossings, hills, tight stuff, open stuff....

Other details:
Sign up is from 7:30 am until the moment you start your ride. Course is open from 10-2. There are several courses set up. A, B, C, etc. You pick the course you want and start when you want. They time you.

He has a big turnout, riders from CT to SC come. Some clubs come, some families (women and peewee classes also).

Free camping, plenty of room, free live music, food for sale.

MONEY BACK GUARANTEE ,, he said if you do not have a good time just come and see him and he will give your $20 back. When I talked to him on the phone; he is just a nice old guy who likes to see people having fun and likes to raise money for a charity.

It is only $20.

If the weather cooperates the OFG plans to be there :rickey:

AND my sweatheart daughter Stacey will be there riding the FrankenBeta 80

This will be her 3rd ride (the first one being in my back yard a couple of weeks ago) :lol2: BUT she seems to be a natural (unlike her old man)

I'll have to to protect her from all you lecherous young men though :nono:

It's close and it's only $20, but only three laps is kinda meh with that course. Three laps at Boom Boom's and I'm wiped, but there I would be wanting more. At least it should fix the issues they had last year. Any word on how/if they'll be pulling you off course after your third lap, or can you keep going but without scoring? :)

That said, if I was around that weekend I would definitely be doing it. It's close, it's only $20, and it's all dirt. :roost:

If the course is anything like the morning course last year, 3 laps will be plenty for me

So I might have a riding partner(s)? :lol2:
I hope I can get more saddle time next year, I feel like I'm starting over again.

You'll have a riding partner, I haven't been out since BoomBoom's in May. Talk about starting over! What's those lever's on the handle bars for? :harhar:

My 450 has bent bars, bent clutch lever, broken tail light and a bunch of other maintenance things to do.

Fug it.

Just got a kitchen pass. If the weather isn't too bad, I'm in!
