Regarding the ride, we duplicated the Parsons to Cass I route from Parsons, up to Bickle Knob, thru Glady, then winding our way across the mountains between Route 33 and 250. We finally stopped at Durbin for an excellent lunch. We then hit Route 250 south to Monterey, which was one of the major goals of the ride. 250 was nice but busy with traffic (not too bad). Monterey is as far as we got before turning for home.

Looks like me an my trip-mate may have been in the same neck-of-the-woods at some point. Full WV ride report to come in separate thread as soon as all pics are available. (tonight).
Sorry you guys had a wreck. Hopefully nothing super-serious or long-healing?

I think it's safe to say that Dom will be off bikes for at least several months. I've seen a few crashes, this is a serious incident, but not the worst.

So what happened! Did he slide through a guard rail? T-Bone a redneck in a pickup?

Does anyone know if Dom is still in the hospital?

That sucks about Dom. Dude, get well soon!
Dom was there when I broke my hand last summer and was extremely helpful. Jeez, we're only a few weeks in and we have two of our best down already. Maybe we should start an "Out of Commission" list with tentative return dates. All jokes aside, I'm glad guys like Bucho are there when stuff goes down. It makes me feel safe when I know my riding partners will help me in a jam.

Latest info on Dom:
he's recovering from some reconstructive sugery at the University of Virginia Medical Center ICU(434-924-2288). Dom will probably be there for a few weeks. Presently he's without his cell phone and wallet, so he's having a hard time contacting the outside world.
It sounds like he can be contacted at the above #. Full name: Dominic Conti.
