No to hijack the thread, but BeckyB was at the hangover hare scramble and broke her ankle?

BROKEN ANKLE
The Wicomico Hare Scramble ended with a broken ankle, but no regrets! About 3/4 into the first lap I slammed a wet, angled root that pinned my ankle between the bike and tree. I was hell bent on finishing one lap so I didn't dnf. Adrenalin is an amazing thing! No way I would have finished the lap without it. I learned a lot, by bike was amazing, and I can't wait to get out again. But these 8 wks on crutches are gonna hurt!

Big Bird, you need to do a better job of keeping after your flock.
BeckyB should have came along to the farm with you....much safer.

Wait... Were you the person off to the right of the trail at a point where it was off camber making a left turn down then up the side of a hill? I saw someone there first lap that stayed there for a few laps before finally disappearing.

Becky is an ex-downhill mnt bike racer. Im sure she has had broken bones in the past.

Becky broke her ankle about 3/4 of the way through the first lap BUT was "hell bent" NOT to DNF -
SO she completed the lap with the broken ankle and went through the scoring area before she stopped because her ankle wouldn't hold her up!

I think this makes us guys look like a bunch of WHIMPY POSERS!!!
