Apparently, the furlough could mess up the route. They are working on an alternate.

Live update from Natural Chimineys campground. Arived monday. Hot, dry, and dusty...not the typical Shenandoah 500 weather. Rode most of the typical saturday route yesterday on my 650. Got lost a few times but had a good day putting around and exploring. As of right now the forest roads are open. Only found one closed, but I think it was for some type of construction. Bad thing is the campground is loaded with stinkbugs. Quite anoying!
See you later.

Got the revised route info from WATR (I'm a member) and there is
less than 40% unpaved and NO Options.
Be sure to send your THANKS to the Republican'ts!

This person is getting there tomorrow afternoon, sometime...looking forward to it.
The whole thing's been rerouted apparently, more like an adventure touring ride...40% gravel roads, the rest pavement.
