ride reports start on page 45

----------------------

Note: Kickstands up at 0800 sharp! Recommend you show at 0730-0745. Gas is available 1 block south of the MARC station.

For those playing the home game - here is last years 777 ride http://DAMNriders.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=680

I am thinking about the weekend of July 17th-18th - as there isn't allot of scheduled stuff going on in July... but am open to other dates..

The intent this year would be to get further into WVa to hit the roads we originally intended (ie Public Road 44).. The same route out won't be used... :poser: :poser: however some of these in Wva (this time will be somewhat unknown... :brows: Some of the routes that we used to get back will be incorporated into the ride down, (probably.. think from where we crossed i81 and work our way back south - not the stuff north of i81/66 area that took us out to Charleston... the idea being to get south sooner ride - camp and ride back......

I wouldn't recommend motards - you will need dual sport tires :deal:
Trailers not allowed - this is a Adv ride to camp...

Boyer Station Campground on Sat night will have a shower... :)

more details to follow...

Come one, come all.. open to everyone, as Ken said just gotta be a DAMN rider..

The WaterCrossing is the official Bike Wash on the way home (yes ken, I will get the T-Mod done - don't know how to work it - but i'll figure it out)... If it's a nice (and hot) being in July, it may be featured on the way down too :ride: It will depend upon where we get started....

However, in the lessons learned category.. It takes a bit of time to get down there so I was thinking of an earlier leaving time rather than 8am, or say getting somewhere into VA down by Fri night... It's a thought. Also do folks want a campground for tents or would folks prefer cabins (or if Fri night is a possibility a combo of the two). I know not everyone's schedule is flexable..

This time I would like to get down to PR44.. the ride down before we got to the goat path wasn't THAT much fun - but allot of the ride home near 66 was allot more fun ie water crossing -etc... I also saw a NVTR person recently join, so perhaps they will have some addittional advice on some good roads - etc.. I know allot of us will be at the renunion and supercamp - etc...
