2007 Husqvarna sm610 @ 24k plus miles, $2500
2007 Husqvarna sm610 @ 24k plus miles, $2500
I did the following after the winter:
piston rings
cylinder hone
cam chain
cam bearings
valve adjust checked
radiator flush
oil (dumped twice) I broke the rings in with regular oil.
new front brake pads
new rear brake pads
new rear tire
new battery
new seat (late 2009)
clean carb
repacked muffler
replaced outer left side cover gasket
The bike has about 350 miles since.
mods:
Beringer clutch perch
Beringer master, the absolute best master out there $600.
Speigler brake line, needed new fittings for the master
Excel rims on husky hubs (5 inch rear rim).
Tubeless
Motion Pro clutch cable
Trail Tech Vapor Speedo
carb jetted
Manual CCT
Full Ti Leo Vance exhaust
Along the way, replaced:
front rotor
coil
cdi
Issues:
Left hand control high beam has a short.
Oil leak, few drops, from the left side cover. I replaced the outer gasket over the winter, must be the inner gasket on the cover.

BTW this is a very nicely appointed Husky. It has the best of everything, and it is very fast. restukey's maintenance and service habits are the very definition of obsessive.
I am pretty sure the top end work he has listed was done because he didn't want those bits to fail eventually, not because there were any problems with those parts at the time of replacement.

I can +1 on this...although obsessive I think only cracks the tip of the iceberg to an extent.mdubya wrote:BTW this is a very nicely appointed Husky. It has the best of everything, and it is very fast. restukey's maintenance and service habits are the very definition of obsessive.

as long as he leaves the Husky in the driveway after he takes that $20 outta my ass...it'll be all good!...that way when my ass heals, I'd have something more appropriate to come and play with you guys on...LOLmdubya wrote:Bob is about to take $20 outta your ass.zooom wrote:OKAY....$20....restukey wrote:
