OK for anyone that needs it, address, directions, contact number:

59 Hill Street, Oakland, MD, 21550

240.321.0801

From Route 68, take Route 219 south towards Deep Creek Lake. It is about 25 miles to Oakland. As you enter the north end of Oakland, there is a traffic light for WalMart. The very next intersection is Fourth Street. Turn left onto Fourth Street (Taco Bell on the corner). Go .3 miles and turn LEFT onto Hill Street. Once on Hill Street, my house is directly ahead, big green 2 story house, black F150 in the driveway. There is plenty of parking for trucks and trailers on the street. Some room in the driveway.

Pull in, don't be shy, front door will be open/unlocked after 9:00 AM. Coffee and donuts will be ready. It is OK if you are early. Make yourself at home. I won't be ready until 9:00, though. :deal:

From Grandville's: Take Route 135 west out of Westernport to Oakland. In Oakland, turn RIGHT onto Route 219 North aka Third Street. Take 219 to the Taco Bell at the north end of town and turn RIGHT onto Fourth Street. Go .3 miles and turn LEFT onto Hill Street. Once on Hill Street, my house is directly ahead, big green 2 story house, black F150 in the driveway. There is plenty of parking for trucks and trailers on the street. Some room in the driveway.

From Route 50: at Red House, MD, Take Route 219 North. Follow 219 through Oakland to the north end of town. At Taco Bell turn RIGHT onto Fourth Street. Go .3 miles and turn LEFT onto Hill Street. Once on Hill Street, my house is directly ahead, big green 2 story house, black F150 in the driveway. There is plenty of parking for trucks and trailers on the street. Some room in the driveway.

Anyone looking for accommodations, you can see The Board Room Motel from my front porch: 12678 Garrett Highway

0% need for a skid plate.

The forecast is changing every 12 hours or so. We are at 60% chance of thunder storms, with sun peaking through the clouds.

I don't mind light showers throughout the day. Much of the ride will be under the trees.

We did one of the Parsons to Cass d/s rides in an all day drizzle and that ride was a blast.

:lol2: The front is still good. The center lugs on the rear have about a quarter inch to be down to the casing. Side lugs are still good though. :ride:

OK, time to get serious. The weather forecast for Sunday does not look good. I am willing to make a last minute decision, or to go for it if anyone else wants to go for it. What I won't do is start the ride in a downpour. The forecast is for 80% chance of rain, similar to today's forecast. Today we are getting 20 minutes of steady rain followed by 20 minutes of no rain, rinse and repeat.

Let me know what you guys are thinking. I know it is quite a haul for some of you.

I would say reschedule for Saturday the 23, but even that is a crap shoot at this point. :lurker:
