Sunday morning I picked up my rental bike for the week. A Honda CRF300L. All in all I thought it was a pretty good rental. It was comfy and easy to ride. For slower dualsporting/sight seeing the suspension is okay. Its super soft and cushy. You could sit on the seat for a lot of it. I would have liked firmer suspension, a taller seat, and different bars/maybe small risers.
But it worked plenty well enough for the week.

I escaped the city and headed for this old Moorish watch tower. (I like old ruins)

The bike did come with a usb charger. I brought my quadlock and had my phone for navigation. I didnt really have a route planned just looking for the small roads on the map and heading northward.

Neat spot where you can ride right out to the end of this precipice.

In both of these pics you can see the sky is looking like rain. Up until this point, I didnt hit any rain but there were lots of wet roads and places where it clearly had been raining.

I began to have on/off light rain but did eventually get a massive deluge of rain for 20-30 mins.

I had a hotel in Oliana. But since I was so close to Andorra I figured I should go in. I rode right through the border. There was a customs/border patrol facility but they waved me right through. It had started raining again so I didnt stop to get a pic next to the big Andorra sign.
I took a great twisty paved road and stopped at a Church to take a few pics to prove I made it to the land of Andorra.

Love the photos! Did you stay in one place and do day trips or did you roam around staying in different places over the week?

I found a great dirt road pass. And it had mostly stopped raining.

Stayed in different places. The moto portion of the trip took place in the Catalunya region of the Pyrenees.

Found this, not sure what it was/is?

Was pretty far up the hillside. I was able to ride a bit closer up a cow path, then hiked rest of way up.

Left over from WWII or a little later?
I couldnt find a way inside. It had a good view of a mountain pass.

Finally made it back out to the pavement as darkness was falling. I motored south to Oliana as it started to rain again.

I stopped at a small restaurant and told the waitress that it was my first time in Catalunya and asked her what I should try, (I did this at a lot of the places I went)

This is what she brought me.

Some sort of cow steak, was good.

This was “mata con miel” for dessert. I dont know how mata translates but it was a soft and fluffy cheese, kind of sweet. Miel/honey poured over it. Was pretty good. I liked it.
