Looking for DS GPS tracks

Post by phoo »

Does anyone have GPS tracks for a DS ride in the area? Michaux, Frederick, Green Ridge, eastern panhandle of PA, something like that? I want to take my kid and my dad on a DS ride tomorrow so if anyone has anything, I'd appreciate it! Otherwise, I have a route that is mostly pavement but of course I'd rather avoid that. Doesn't have to be trails. In fact, all dirt roads with some fire roads would be perfect.

Thanks,

~Patrick

Sorry, I'm just seeing this now. I've got a pretty big database of GPS tracks that I'd be happy to send along if you still need it. I'm around today so let me know.

I've dropped you an email that includes what I have for PA (Michaux and the PA BDRx). I'm still looking around to see if I have Greenridge on my other computer. These tracks are several years old but shouldn't have changed, much....

Thank you all for the GPS tracks! They'll definitely get used.

We ended up riding Green Ridge and doing 140 miles (not all in GR), in part because then my parents could see the cabin, and in part because I keep the DRZ there now and the Husky is geared too low and has too soft of tires for so many paved miles. At some point I want to make a full mapping of GR now that I've found much better dirt roads than I'd seen previously. Some look pretty delightfully gnarly! (For what they are.) A fun time was had by all, and now I have a seven hour (including lunch and scenic stops) DS loop from my cabin, so successes all around.

Thanks,

I went out to Greenridge yesterday. Had a really nice ride.

Though about 30 miles in we had a little crash. Though we were able to limp back to the vehicles after.
