Sunday 11/8 - NE MD & SE PA Dirt Roads

OK guys, let's try it again and maybe the weather will cooperate this time-

So you don't have to look through the old thread, here are the details again -

How about we meet at the intersection of Rt 1 and Rt 136. If memory serves me correct there is a HUGE Wawa on the corner.

We will be fighting for day light, sunset is now 5 pm. To give the day a chance to warm up, let's plan to roll wheels out of the Wawa at 10:00 am, meet there some time after 9:30.

I have a loop worked out in the GPS. I'd say it is about 50/50 dirt vs. asphault, starting at the Wawa and ending up in Rocks State park which is only about 10 miles from where we started. If any body wants a copy of the file to upload, e-mail me: j-shaffer @ comcast.net

The total loop is around 120 miles long and I worked in a gas stop at mile 70. If any body doesn't have a 70 mile range with their bike, let me know now and I'll see what can be changed.

With breaks, etc, I'd guess maybe 4 hours so we might have time to hit-up some of the quarries or trails that I think Dave might know about once we are back.

Yup, Mapquest puts the star for "Poplar Grove" right on top of the Wawa.

I may still make it im taking my kids riding on saterday to taskers gap with the atvs so if i feel ok ill be there sunday to ride with you all.

Again, I'd love to make it but have not yet heard back on the KLR. It's gotta be close to being done by now. I also don't have a plate yet for the WR so it looks like I'll be missing the ride. I will probably head up to Greenridge with the WR - either that or keep terrorizing my neighborhood on it
